The Club for European Understanding and Communication offers its discerning members the chance to convene regularly and discuss under exclusion of prying eyes topics relevant to political development in Europe, societal and social changes on the continent as well as the occasion of attending lectures by renowned specialists.
To achieve this, the Club for European Understanding and Communication offers an adequate location on the fringe of Vienna’s very centre in the Jacquingasse of the city´s Third District. This venue, which is located in a discreet palais built in 1902 by Ludwig Tischler, is used both for the Club´s internal activities as well as being rented out to generate further funds to further the Club’s interests.
The Club for European Understanding and Communication sees itself under the obligation of actively contributing to a free discourse on the basis of verified and verifiable facts. The whole concept of “alternative facts” is anathema to 2.000 years of European philosophical development whilst, “truths” tend to falsify themselves rather easily. The Club for European Understanding and Communication offers its members regular chamber music concerts, presenting highly gifted young European musicians in order of furthering their careers. Since the creation of the “Razumovsky Gesellschaft für Kunst und Kultur”, some 100 salon concertos have taken place in the Club´s little concert hall.
